Wolverine 177

hey Darkholme or anyone else in the know... is my hunch correct, is Nightcrawler in Wolverine 177? read... http://www.x-worldcomics.com/x/colum...look061202.htm

readers digest version, at St Anne's church, (the same church where Nightcralwer was attacked by Lady Deathstrike and Omega Red)a priest is attacked in the confessional. then Wolverine meets a priest in a bar, and he goes on to tell him about corruption in the church and some guy who is trying to convert all of NY with 'extra-low frequency vibration emanitions' otherwise known as e.l.v.e.s... then Wolveirine's last words in the 4 page prieview are "now that you mention those elves, it's got me thinking..." then he gets attacked. it is Wolverine, afterall.

does that not scream Nightcrawler?

Indeed...and now that Marvel's not telling us anything about their upcoming titles in Previews...just showing us the covers...we can only guess what's gonna be in their books...

And "corruption in the church" just might explain why he takes off the collar...

But I think this has something to do with the priest that was in the last Wolverine annual...

you could be right, the pages didn't show Nightcrawler, but it's that line, 'speakiong of elves...' and the fact that it is the same church where Kurt got ambushed at.

Sorry to disappoint, but no Nightcrawler (or blue mutants of any kind) in Wolverine 177. And just in case anyone is wondering what Wolverine were Wolvie was going with his "Elves" thing before the fight broke out...he had been having headaches for the past couple days, most likely caused by these "Elves" trying to reprogram his brain. His healing factor was reconnecting the synapses or something. But now he can home in on the signal.

Just in case you were wondering, Tieri didn't write this. It's by a guy of the name Matt Nixon. Part 1 of a 2 parter. I wasn't horribly impressed by it, but then again, I got a double dose of X-Men last week, so I'm still riding high.

I get the comic anyway...it's just one of my regulars...it's just usually on the very bottom of the pile when I get my monthly shipment...

But this month's stuff SUCKED! No Kurtage AT ALL! Well...there was a couple of panels here and there in flashbacks...good thing I went down to Brisbane today and got Uncanny X-Men #407 and the Return to Weapon X TPB...should be enough Kurtage to hold me for a while...
